A huge benefit to our clients is that 90% of our manufacturing is done in-house. This dramatically reduces delivery times of components and speeds up on-site installation, resulting in a much quicker turnaround time.
Originally specialising as a Special Purpose Machinery manufacturer, Mill Lane Lift Services has evolved into a reputable family run business covering all aspects of lift refurbishment and working with a variety of clients in both the private and commercial sectors.
A highly experienced team
With more than 50 years combined experience in the lift industry Mill Lane Lift Services have a vast knowledge and understanding of clients requirements and have done a huge variety of jobs, this has resulted in MLL being able to advise clients on the best options for their budget.
All our team are CSCS registered and continue training on a regular basis to ensure they are up to date with the latest methods. Our team are also trained to a standard where they can operate within a lift without the need for a dedicated lift engineer to be present.
Where we’ve come from
MLL is a leading manufacturer and supplier to both the private and commercial sectors providing services such as lift modernisation, manufacture of architraves and doors, re-skinning, indicator housing and machine housing and guarding.
Starting life as company offering lift and general engineering services to a wide range of companies and specialising in the manufacture of Special Purpose Machinery.
In 1994 the decision was made to focus solely on the lift service industry and as a result of the outstanding work already done MLL developed a great working relationship with companies such as OTIS, Thyssen and KONE amongst many others in both the private and commercial sectors.
Dave joined the team in 1994 and is still with the company today, 20 years later and is now Manager of Site Surveying and Quote Estimation.
John and Dave have been joined by John’s two sons Danny and Will and the rest of the workshop team and MLL is now a family run business with more than 40 years experience in the industry making them experts in their field.
No task is too small or too much trouble and MLL will bend over backwards to accommodate the needs of their clients.

Clients benefit from many of our employees having over 30 years experience with MLL. Our expertise and knowledge of the intricacies within the lift industry, sets us apart from our competitors.
We believe that lifts are an important aspect of all buildings so making an impression with this space is essential.
Working to client specification, we build all lift cars in our workshop which allows us to reduce time spent on site and deal with all quality issues prior to our onsite arrival. Our commitment to continuously improving our practices allows us to offer professional advice on both the design and technical details associated with lift refurbishment and modernisation. We at all times aim to integrate functionality and style alongside current lift standards.
